RandalCare

Just when you thought the apple couldn’t fall farther from the tree…

Guess who is leading the charge for a replacement for Obamacare?

Sen. Rand Paul is emerging as one of the most vocal GOP opponents of voting on a repeal bill before coming up with a replacement package, as he argues that the two votes must happen simultaneously.

"I will do everything in my power to have a vote on it the day we repeal Obamacare," Paul told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Monday, noting that Trump personally expressed his support for this approach in a phone call with the senator.

The Kentucky senator is planning to unveil replacement legislation in the coming days.

Sounds like a good presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party.

  1. Rand is off the rails here. Trump IS NOT going to touch Obummer Care. Trump is actually pro-Socialized Hellcare.

I can't figure out where people get that Trump is going to do something about Obummer Care when it is obvious that any removal of any part causes a financial crash in the system.

    1. So we're stuck with it? That's it?

    2. I agree with Anon #1. Trump did say that he would take care of people, as if to say he was favoring some form of government health care.

Anon#2: We're going to be stuck with something.

  2. Rand himself. Political smoke. In practical terms, they will keep the Obamacare infrastructure while making some tweaks. He is sounding more and more like a typical careerist politician. I can see him in his office thinking: "What can I do to stay relevant and impress the big boys? What is out there for me to get some political mileage from?".

I wouldn't be surprised if Rand is trying to position himself as heir apparent to Trump for this "brand new" Republican populist party.

  3. If Ron Paul was seen for what he is -- the controlled opposition -- Rand was always that apple lying closest to the tree...

    Different style. Same masters.

    1. Yet we see the eyes that Ron opened bearing fruit.

    2. Yep, they kept ol' Ron around all these years for control purposes. The government's sagacity knows no bounds.

    3. If Ron Paul is the controlled opposition, then what, in your opinion, would uncontrolled opposition look like?

  4. Puzzling. Of all people, an ophthalmologist should be totally against government involvement in health care. After all, they've made a killing with LASIK, which among its other attractions, is a cash business.
