I have been watching videos from Fr. Altman of La Crosse, Wisconsin. In the notes for his latest video is the following:
Fr. Altman offers what may be his last live streamed Mass from his parish as a result of his bishop moving to silence him.
Please voice your support for Fr. Altman by contacting Bishop Callahan and respectfully asking him to allow Fr. Altman to continue to broadcasting his Masses and homilies of hope.
Bishop William Callahan
Diocese of La Crosse

Continue to keep both Fr. Altman and Bishop Callahan in your prayers.
Fr. Altman has been quite vocal and clear on the nonsense that is the corona shutdowns and the damage that Christian churches have done by bowing to government edicts. At the channel where his videos are found there are other videos on the Marxist underpinnings of BLM and the ungodly response of Catholic leadership regarding sexual abuse within the clergy.
It seems this call to stop his livestream was prompted by James Martin, a Jesuit priest. Martin was appointed in 2017 by Pope Francis as a consultant to the Vatican's Secretariat for Communications. Here is an example of Martin’s communications:
George Floyd is compared to Jesus Christ. And Martin’s twitter followers love this post. And he was appointed by the current pope. Maybe coincidence, maybe correlation: both Christendom (not only Catholic) and liberty are hitting generational lows at precisely the same time. And it is all captured in this one tweet.
Conclusion
Fr. Altman has earned support, whether one is Catholic or not, Christian or not. He has been speaking truth regarding these issues that have crushed us in 2020, and all lovers of liberty can certainly support him at this time.
Yeah, but why should that matter, my portfolio is at record highs.
ReplyDeleteFor those who don't know Eric, please turn your sarcasm awareness meter to high...very high!
DeleteGood to hear from you, Eric.
Fordham University, or, rather, its President honored Fr. Martin at its "virtual" commencement spring 2020. This honor complements Fordham's exclusion from campus and required sensitivity training of a student, Austin Tong, whom the University Administration accused of criticizing BLM! You can follow Mr. Tong's legal case against Fordham and the Federal Government's proceeding against the University through the Fire website. Fr. Martin embodies Fordham's brand of Left Clerical Fascism. I wish Fr. Altman and Mr. Tong success in their pursuit of truth and sanity.
DeleteMy apology if my remarks are duplicated: I am quite challenged by technology. Anyhow, Rev. James Martin: honored by Fordham University at spring 2020 "virtual" commencement. Mr. Austin Tong: a student excluded by Fordham University from its campus because of thought crime possibilities. The University accuses him of criticizing BLM! What do they have in common? One is a proponent of and the other a victim of Left Clerical Fascism. You can access the Fire website for more information on Mr. Tong and his law suit against Fordham. Full disclosure: I work as a tenured professor there. It was once a university.
ReplyDeleteI forgive you for your technology faux pas. Very sad to hear that about Fordham; my grandfather graduated from there in the 1930s. Of course, he fought the NAZIs in Europe in WWII. I guess this story of Mr. Tong puts the lie to the fact he fought over there so we wouldn't have to fight them over here, at his own alma mater.
