The Climate Accord is Dead; Long Live the Climate Accord

Therefore, in order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord -- (applause) -- thank you, thank you -- but begin negotiations to reenter either the Paris Accord or a really entirely new transaction on terms that are fair to the United States, its businesses, its workers, its people, its taxpayers.

Oh, say it ain’t so!  Repeal and replace…or not.  Reminds me of that Obamacare thing.

(CNN) — As President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that America is leaving the Paris climate accord, CNN's Fareed Zakaria had something to say.

"[T]his will be the day that the United States resigned as the leader of the free world," the host of "Fareed Zakaria GPS" asserted.

Promise?

  1. Well, resigning as Leader of the Free World is a start, but I'd rather we resigned as World Policeman first. That would save more lives AND more dollars.

    1. There is no settled science because even in several hundred years studies may not be complete. That's just how science is... proofs must be proven no matter how long that takes.
Of course there's lots of "science" around that...well...isn't science. Who has done studies that canned and processed foods are safe for human consumption over a lifetime of 70 or 80 years? Who has done studies that bottled formula is safe for babies? Where are the studies that toothpaste and water laced with halogens are safe for humans? And lots of other yet-unthought-of questions that haven't arisen yet.

  4. It's about daggone time we started disentangling ourselves from the climate scam and Europe where we only have enemies. Bring our soldiers home to protect our borders and our resources to rebuild America.

  5. The Climate Change story is a big lie. My thesis was on air pollution. I spent 30 years working on air pollution control and effect. I participated in the promulgation of the Clean Air Act of 1990. Very few people in the world can brag about more scientific experience in that area as me. Without going into more details in refuting this scheme, CEO are simply playing with other people money. As long as the liberal media will continue to love the GE president, to hell with the American economy. The evilleadership in this country have never been held accountable or imprisoned, hence they continue to disregard our interest. How else could our negotiators give away the store in every treaty.

  6. I saw an elderly woman with a walker and an oxygen bottle who was very sad and afraid right after seeing TV.
We live in highly politicized times and people are being abused with mental manipulations. Fearmongering is evil, and is probably the greatest evil we could easily take care of, if we were more generous. When I was a child, I often heard "Be Christ for others". But we torture each other and we don't even realize. Why there is no economic estimate of all the destruction of capital fearmongering produces? Or perhaps is it that it produces an increment in capital and everyone is better off when neurotic behaviour is encouraged? I think it is wasteful.
