Oh,The Collective American mind. The propaganda of the Bureaucracy has been very successful as most everyone believes those same lies. Alas nothing is forever nor as it seems, not even Rush.
ReplyDeleteThank God for DVDs.
Deletei, too, was brought up to believe.
ReplyDeletebetrayal begets anger.
enlightenment allows one to realize it never was as one was brought up to believe, facilitating a move away from anger. it is up to the individual to determine what then follows.

Thanks for putting these pieces together.
ReplyDeleteI have more to try and educate dumb ass friends.
Which is a exercise in futility?!
Now if I could only convince them. That God is not
going to come down and make it all better at the 11th hour
The entire article is set up to contest the idea of a strong federal government. While a respectable viewpoint, the key part about the difference between northern businessmen and southern farmers highlights the reason everything settled as it did. Stronger governments are a natural result of more advanced and developed societies. Weaker governments only work for areas of low population and simple economics.
ReplyDeleteThe entire argument is an idealistic view of how things ought to be, but omits the realities that resolving more complicated disputes is not a simple process. In the absence of a strong state, a state-like entity will arise and it may not be very kind. Examples: Mafia, Triad, Yakuza, drug cartels, or even 'legal' crime syndicates like price fixing oligopolies.
If they have to lie so much to make it stick, then the truth is a "strong government" really must not be necessary in order to solve "complicated disputes."
DeleteNo........The article is the omited reality.
DeleteExposed!!
The "Truth"is the essence of finding out what the "process"
ought to be.
Who supported ,fostered ,made up the:
"Mafia, Triad, Yakuza, drug cartels, or even 'legal' crime syndicates like price fixing oligopolies"
bm,
DeleteHow true. Interesting how simple logic displays the fallacy.
@Mylon
DeleteWhat you fail to realize is that those "examples" you use are in fact a direct response to state intervention within the economy and not due to a stateless society as you try to imply.
