Why bionic mosquito?

Some talking head on CNBC, when referring to Ron Paul, called him a “mosquito.” My reaction – if he is a “mosquito”, he is a pretty powerful one. Hence the name….

If there is one day a resurgence of freedom and liberty in the West, history will record that Ron Paul was the one individual most responsible for sparking the movement.

I don't want any donations.  I don't take advertising.  I write here on topics that are of interest to me, and I am very pleased that others find my writing worthwhile.

So donate of your time.  Find any avenue where you feel comfortable, and use it to educate: write a blog, teach at a homeschool co-op or church group, forward meaningful articles to friends, etc.

Donate your money, to the extent you feel called and are able.  There are many wonderful organizations that are effective at spreading the message of liberal, free-market thinking and exposing the harm of state interventions in all forms.  Find one that fits your views best, and support it.

  3. Dear Sir, you have a great blog. I had just been thinking about the Spanish American war and the Anglo-American rapprochement that flowed from that very recently.

I read on your blog you believe that power elite do not want to cull the general population as that would reduce their wealth.

My take on that is that if the power elite decide the general population cannot take on more debt then they will conclude the general population need to be culled severely. We are now possibly approaching that point in history. The debt of the people is the wealth of the elite

    1. Or, they could foreclose on the delinquent debtors, and take the pledged assets?

Who knows? You will forgive me if I pray you are wrong!

    2. All must be done in a way that "looks" acceptable to the proles. Every system rests on popular consent, and if the rulers too explicitly create a system that reveals reality (that politics = organized crime) then a revolution occurs and a different set of crooks are installed, replacing the old set of crooks.

This is why I don't think it's likely that the Fed will buy up every mortgage on the planet and then foreclose to take ownership of all property. In no time their heads would end up on spears.

    3. Am inclined to believe that the power elite are neither cognizant of the word empathy or compassion. Many appear to be narcissists. Worse yet there are a few solipsists among them. Their wealth has been derived from the debt of the middle class, which appears to be on the road to extinction, which would leave the super rich and rich and the serfs.

    4. I believe you're right, carbonyes. My view is that anyone who thinks of himself as "elite" would lack empathy altogether. Seeing oneself as above the rest of humanity one would be unable to have any feeling towards others

As to wealth, there are elites who have no wealth to speak of, only power over others, such as the power that politicians and high level bureaucrats exercise.

  4. This is the opinion of Dr Paul Craig Roberts, which I tend to agree with
little wonder thinkers predict that the rich intend to annihilate the human race and live in an uncrowded environment served by their robots.
http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/02/18/global-capitalism-written-human-race-paul-craig-roberts/

The one thing that populations of western countries have going for them is that they are already firmly under control. I expect it is countries not "under control", like Russia and Syria which would be first for culling.

However "soft" methods of population control are already being pushed. Witness the globalised pro-homosexual campaigns, which aim to promote homo-,bisexualism and transgenderism for young people. In Europe, Euthanasia is being popularised

  5. First of all, I want to congratulate you for taking a very responsible position on he racist comments of Mr Sterling. It is very unfortunate that many so-called libertarians are hiding behind a false definition of freedom of expression to justify irresposible behaviors. Racism is a form of collectivism and its as bad as statism. How can principled liberterians reject statism while at the same time they are trying to explain racism on
the basis of age. This diluted form of anarcho-capitalism is hurting the fredoom mouvement behond repair and is making a laughing stock out of those you are courageous enough to say no Sterling and his supporters. They are sick and confused people everywhere sick and confused statists , sick and confused libertarians, sick and confused liberals.

    1. First, I will note the subject to which you refer is here:

      http://bionicmosquito.blogspot.com/2014/04/donald-sterling-and-nap.html

Second, collectivism cannot be in any way compared to statism. While I have commented in the past that collectivism is the first step to genocide, only (at least in the examples that I am aware of) an organized state can turn collectivist thinking into such devastating action.

The point of my post was simple: to the extent Sterling's comments are a libertarian issue, it has nothing to do with the PC groupthink. He (apparently) made statements that many will find repulsive. His fellow owners have been damaged and can - through whatever processes the league has in place - properly punish him. It doesn't have to be fair.

Sterling is party to a private agreement; this binds him to behave in a certain way. It has nothing to do with the government or initiation of force.

It is legitimate that he face consequences if the league and his fellow owners deem it.

  6. We used to have a US Department of War. sometime in the late 1940s ti was renamed The US Department of Defense.

That name, the DOD, is now a misnomer. It needs to go back to its old name The Department of War.

  7. Thanks for letting LRC readers today know of The Daily Bell interview with Tibor Machan. My older boyfriend tells me that he has been known as The Bore Machan since at least 1970 (five years before I was born.)
He's terminally stupid so don't waste any further time on him.

  8. Liberty was formally and nationally lost in 1787 when the late 18th-century Enlightenment and Masonic founders made liberty a goal (almost a god) instead of a corollary of implementing Yahweh's perfect law of liberty (Psalm 19:7-11, 119:44-45, James 2:12) as the supreme law of the land.

Today we are reaping what was the inevitable whirlwind of this wind sown by the constitutional framers:

"[B]ecause they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law ... they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind...." (Hosea 8:1,7)

Being that Ron Paul might be considered one of the high priests of our national idol (the humanistic, antichristian, polytheistic Constitution), I beg to differ regarding your estimation as is pertains to his contribution to liberty.

Find out how much you REALLY know about the Constitution as compared to the Bible. Take our 10-question Constitution Survey at http://www.bibleversusconstitution.org/ConstitutionSurvey.html and receive a complimentary copy of a book that EXAMINES the Constitution by the Bible.

  11. Hi Bionic I have read some of your stuff and I like it. You write about what interests me and you do so with an open mind which is what I always try to do when reading or writing. Court historians always bemoan any kind of revisionism because if it`s not the consensus view that they proclaim and have made their money on it upsets their livelihood. They hate being challenged as do interested parties like the zionists who have much to lose by ant revisionism. Anyway I intend to keep on reading your very good body of work and thank you.

  13. Do you have any thoughts, or have you looked into, the Seth Rich case? He was supposedly murdered in July 2016 during a botched "robbery" although nothing was taken, i.e., his watch, cell phone, wallet, or other items. According to sources, Rich (a Sanders supporter) had information that the DNC was "swinging" the election Hillary Clinton's way through voter fraud, specifically false voting locations. Seth Rich was probably the "leaker" of the Podesta/Clinton emails to Wikileaks. Your thoughts? Thank you.

  14. I've done a cursory review and don't see if there is an option to simply enter an e-mail address and receive e-mail updates of your blog posts, etc. Every direction I turn it seems I'm required to sign in, create an account, etc. I have no FB, Twitter, Google anything, etc. and am of the unfortunate ilk that I simply rely on my e-mail for those things of interest, as I don't have enough time in the day to even finish reading my e-mails, let alone going to a litany of websites, most of which are hidden from my view by a tyrannical worksite firewire, and work is where I have 95% of my time to read each day! Thanks!

  16. Dear Sir, Thank you your Response to Michael Rozeff’s Article on Abortion. Being an Admirer of Mr. Rozeff, I had found his Postion Troubling. I thought your Response was Needed. One thing I find Missing in most Abortion debates is Something termed “the Sanctity of Life”. As a Christian, that is the most Salient Point. As a Advocate of Libertarian thought, I have never understood why someone who claims to be Libertarian can think that the NAP does not apply to Unborn Babies. I am glad that someone like you, who has Standing as a Clear Thinker and Clear Writer spoke up.
