Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold

Kind Hearts and Coronets, 1949: "Revenge is a dish which people of taste prefer to eat cold."

The Godfather, 1969: Don Corleone nodded. "Revenge is a dish that tastes best when it is cold," he said.

Star Trek II, The Wrath of Kahn, 1982: Kirk, old friend, do you know the Klingon proverb, "Revenge is a dish best served cold"?

Then we have Sheldon, from The Big Bang Theory:

Sheldon Cooper: bortaS bIr jablu'DI' reH QaQqu' nay!

Wil Wheaton: Did that guy just say "Revenge is a dish best served cold" in Klingon?

Stuart: I believe so.

Wil Wheaton: What is wrong with him?

Stuart: Everyone has a different theory.

  1. Biden (and other leftists) warned us a month or two ago that we were going to experience "a Dark Winter". How did they know?

    2. We climate science people knew that. And "you ain't seen nothin' yet". Global warming is not just about heat.

    3. I know, I know. It's about whatever the Democrats say it will be about. It's Simon Says politics, like Fauci and his double-mask on - double-mask off policies.

  3. I am in one of the hardest hit areas. Not the coldest, but least prepared. I was thinking that Gaia was trying to abort us but the Father is holding her back. Viva the patriarchy.

    1. RMB,

      Sorry to hear that.

Just got internet access back. Had power, but lost water off and on. Had to melt snow to flush toilets. No biggie. Got a bunch of snow pics with my two year old. She loved it. Others had it much worse. A whole apartment building burned to the ground near me. No one got hurt thankfully. The water lines feeding the sprinklers were frozen stiff and so were the fire hydrants. Fire trucks had to cart in water from elsewhere to put it out.

  4. Environmentalism is probably the point where woke nutjobbery is likely to crash into reality first, even earlier than the demographic doom resulting from the cult of sterile sex.

As anxious as I am to see that happen for the sake of justice, though - especially as concerns the countless white collar middle class useful idiots who grew up thinking that green=virtuous - the prospect of losing the internal combustion engine and reliable power grids is really depressing. ESPECIALLY the ICE.

    1. Yes. Fossil fuel is really the only middle finger we have to raise at Old Man Winter. Even then sometimes that old bastard gets us.

    2. "ESPECIALLY the ICE."

This is the most emotionally disturbing part. Nothing soothes like the sounds of a properly tuned and (un)muffled ICE, nothing else offers the proper application of torque and horsepower - as some god out there meant it to be!
