Roger Clemens, Free at Last?

Enough already; last time a mistrial, this time acquitted on all counts.  Roger Clemons is free it seems, from charges of lying to Congress that should never have been brought because the matters underlying Clemons’ testimony to Congress was none of their business.

An employee is accused of taking substances that allegedly impacted his work performance.  It would seem to be a matter solely between the employee and employer.  In this case, if baseball felt harmed, baseball should have been the one to pursue relief.  Is there an entity that is more concerned about the integrity of the game than Major League Baseball?

Perhaps I shouldn’t complain – any time spent by the government on this is time not spent on an area where government can do significantly more harm.
