Two thoughts: first, I offer such examples to counteract the argument that "there has never been any such example in history," and second - we cannot say how society might have developed had such structures continued; more importantly, had "law" developed along these lines.bionic mosquitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12002548958078731031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-21219075324477071732017-02-05T11:23:58.177-08:002017-02-05T11:23:58.177-08:00I have two points of contention with this:

They all keep hanging on the etymology, which is very much not the definition. There are dozens and dozens of words whose definitions are so divergent from their etymology, its astounding. The fact of the matter is anarchy has always been defined as a state of uncertainty and violent chaos, that is the definition most people use, and likely will remain that way. No amount of edginess or insistence to the contrary will change that. I cant for the life of me understand why libertarians have dedicated themselves to this wretched term.

2. Every single one of these so-called examples of stateless living is undeveloped and bland. Even a commenter who insinuated he lived in the remote woods or a rural area demonstrates this. Who wants to live like that? Picking fruit and herding cattle. Maybe it is better, but thats "not an argument" for stateless living, especially when the proponents dont engage in it.MHRnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-32990153189254325452013-06-02T18:21:32.356-07:002013-06-02T18:21:32.356-07:00Thank you.

Thereupon Shammai repulsed him with the builder's cubit which was in his hand. When he went before Rabbi Hillel, he said to him, 'What is hateful to you, do not to your neighbour: that is the whole Torah, while the rest is the commentary thereof; go and learn it.'"Puck T. When you take those two out of the statist equation you stand a far better chance of simply being left alone. I like people. I like being around them but not so much that my presence sends up flags for busybodies to force myself or my children into Leviathans ranks of slaves.MoTnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-88545468697037333822012-03-25T13:05:36.638-07:002012-03-25T13:05:36.638-07:00i'm reading this book right now. better get o...i'm reading this book right now. better get on your thinking caps to read it. but i recommend it!Winston Smithhttp://www.blog2.tshirt-doctor.com/noreply@blogger.com
