It is not clear if the paragraph...@Bionic Mosquito

It is not clear if the paragraph below is how you think that current history should be written in future or you are quoting someone. Please could you clarify who you are quoting and where or if that is your impression on how history should be written. Thanks

The United States Empire overextended its military reach in an attempt to secure broader markets and exert control over all regions of the globe and even outer space. In this, it spent its wealth on military adventure and regularly debased its currency. Eventually, the government could not continue to deliver the promised bread and circuses; discontent grew within the center of the empire.

For these reasons, like Rome, the United States eventually died due to the apathy of its citizens.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-74650076215908243922015-09-10T15:53:58.209-07:002015-09-10T15:53:58.209-07:00"...who pretend to be charities but are in fa..."...who pretend to be charities but are in fact government contractors..."

I still kick myself for blindly taking the pope's statement at face value....Even Christian charity, apparently, escapes many Christians.bionic mosquitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12002548958078731031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-33950375621684826022015-09-10T15:34:52.527-07:002015-09-10T15:34:52.527-07:00I agree with Paul on how US/Globalist policy has c...I agree with Paul on how US/Globalist policy has created much of the mess with refugees. It would be hard to imagine a policy better designed to create such a crisis.

That is the push of the refugee problem, it is also greatly helped by the pull create by the same governments leadership who openly support mass immigration into their countries even if it requires bending or breaking the various laws involved.

And then there is the so-called charities. Catholic Refugee Services is one, but there are dozens around the world who pretend to be charities but are in fact government contractors who get most if not all of their income from the taxpayers. The MSM of course ignores this and pretend that these “charities” are selfless observers of the situation
DJFnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-5399504566608123012015-09-10T08:51:34.255-07:002015-09-10T08:51:34.255-07:00We won’t know what’s happening until it’s happened...We won’t know what’s happening until it’s happened and we can look back. I think it was Barzun who pointed out that nationalism is a new phenomenon dating in Europe from Louis XIV who dismantled the feudal system by centralizing the Second Estate at Versailles and employing bourgeoisie to administer the country. This led to the Third Estate taking control of “their” country –and anarchy at its worst.
Nationalism in sphere of influence countries led to assassination and a mindless reactionary rush to arms in WWI, and the redux WWII. When the organizing principles however imperfect are dismantled the entropy does not bring forth a new order. Rather, things are riding man when despots start to look to be the better choice.

TomO
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
