Yet the public looks at this absolutely backwards. The public clamors for more socialist programs for the rest of us. Perfidy is changed to a perception of benignity, and either maintained or ignored by the public. Foreigners are astounded that the American public believes the lies of their government. Other governments lie but their people mostly disbelieve most of them. This is our real exceptionalism, the fact that so much of the public perceived their government as benign for so long despite the giant mass of evidence to the contrary.
No, I will not defend the government of Russia, nor explain why. Hey, I already admitted my sense of humor is odd, so here goes:

If the shoe fits, quack. -gpondgpondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01013837189187920036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-62636717263579321662013-09-13T17:52:22.683-07:002013-09-13T17:52:22.683-07:00"...the more I understand the history, the le..."...the more I understand the history, the less exceptional I find the history and the documents to be." Same here.

For being one of the most radical politicians we currently have, this bit of American fantasism is pretty annoying. But he's hedging his support for next election I'm sure.

Putin may have a grim and probably bloody history, but at least he maintains a semblance of etiquette. It is at least less disenchanting than the embarrassing, fumbling hubris of the Empire.Shamus Heitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01024602291690903826noreply@blogger.com
