In the ocean, living creatures are benefited by carbon dioxide even as dead lifeforms are dissolved down to their essential elements by carbonic acid. The fact of life itself being a factor is never accounted for in the ‘science’ of the doom-mongers.

The ocean is a chemical buffer system that solves it’s own pH problems. When there is an excess of carbonic acid it dissolves the calcium in dead shells and skeletons, limestone, and the salts and metals that litter the crust, raising the pH. When there is a deficit of acid the ocean precipitates the calcium out of solution (forming new limestone) which frees up the CO2 to lower pH and balance it back.

Nature rebounds.Pam Probstnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-46646007887680803842015-06-29T09:53:50.970-07:002015-06-29T09:53:50.970-07:00I’m not as sanguine. There’s a real threat, not to the “poor” who live near the tropics which are not warming as are the poles, but to the ocean and atmospheric flows that are driven by temperature differences between these zones. There are engineering solutions to these but engineering, being extra governmental, is tantamount to denial.

Though the oceans will not in fact become “acidic”, the decrease in alkalinity is also concerning. Again, though this can be addressed through engineering processes, any such suggestion is denounced.
Whether cynical or realistic, the govenment(s) don’t want to compromise a good crisis with actual solutions.

TomO

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-72329529869157867582015-06-28T08:50:46.859-07:002015-06-28T08:50:46.859-07:00kirk, I haven't read enough of Ausubel to conc...kirk, I haven't read enough of Ausubel to conclude if he turns these facts toward a more politically acceptable conclusion. As I mentioned, others would point to government regulation as being the cause of this greening; I just happen to offer that this would be wrong.bionic mosquitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12002548958078731031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-5401163490257646122015-06-28T08:49:05.874-07:002015-06-28T08:49:05.874-07:00Thank you, Norbert.
