I apologize for any innacuracies.

I've never been one for religion, but it has always baffled me when a Christian church has stood up in favor of the state. Whether to save man from sin or not, Jesus was tortured, humiliated, and mocked by Roman soldiers. Is this any different than what the state does to it's victims now?

Would the current Pope be fine with watching Christ be crucified today, so long as Roman (American) Soldiers handed out ration cards and food stamps an hour before? Or if they held a majority vote to do it?

I don't understand how a Christian man, allegedly a holy man, sees Government as a tool for good. It's not a hammer, it's a wrecking ball.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-21828272706605478972013-11-26T12:59:25.670-08:002013-11-26T12:59:25.670-08:00I cannot say; however, although government everywh...I cannot say; however, although government everywhere is corrupt, few are so visibly corrupt to the common man as those in South America and certainly Argentina. Yet the pope want to hand this breed even more power and control.bionic mosquitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12002548958078731031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-42487665052451482862013-11-26T10:30:04.865-08:002013-11-26T10:30:04.865-08:00is this more 'liberation theology' that ha...is this more 'liberation theology' that has been preached and practiced in S. They take the socialist line even more consistently than government. Biblical? No. Blasphemy? At least. And very sad.

I see all of my Catholic friends and family, fighting against socialism; except where they are fighting just as vehemently for it. The same can be said of almost everyone else, with most exceptions being those who have embraced socialism completely.

Sorry to be so negative. I explain to my friends and family why I am against certain things, and sometimes convince them to oppose those things as well, usually to find later that they have not changed their attitudes, and are just as statist in their thinking as before.

Such a pope may be all we can get now.
taxesAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
