The churches in the west have succumbed to the same issues, unfortunately for all of us and for the sake of the Kingdom.bionic mosquitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12002548958078731031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-37326303717590567522022-04-05T09:16:42.733-07:002022-04-05T09:16:42.733-07:00Yes, I think it was also the time when the pope wa...Yes, I think it was also the time when the pope was resident in France.bionic mosquitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12002548958078731031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-36226382109157073692022-04-02T20:52:41.421-07:002022-04-02T20:52:41.421-07:00Deacon, the church in the US is infected with Cult...Deacon, the church in the US is infected with Cultural Marxism. We have been trained in schools that were set up by them and the curriculum was developed by them over the last 50 years.

There is a true cost to hold to what the Bible teaches, and many pastors just can't hold up to the pressure. The US regime has embraced Cultural Marxism so the fight is against the state. Most Christians have grown up revering the government as a force for good. Oh, how wrong we have been.

https://thecrosssectionrmb.blogspot.comRMBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13603112499567064214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-46215464922784482012022-04-02T10:33:43.194-07:002022-04-02T10:33:43.194-07:00That Church acquiesces to State in the Eastern Ort...That Church acquiesces to State in the Eastern Orthodox world is no surprise (but see the monastic resistance to imperial Iconoclasm in the eighth and ninth centuries). I am told that Orthodox communities in the Near East are giving thought to their previous subservience, pressed to do so by the Islamic theocratic states. What surprises me is that the churches in the "free world" have proven themselves to be every bit as much subordinate to the given secular orthodoxy in word and in deed. See, of course, the "pandemic", BLM, and the current saber rattling.Deacon Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07708653111827647244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-648884752216444797.post-65402662665096259022022-04-01T16:12:48.886-07:002022-04-01T16:12:48.886-07:00I can't remember which king it was or what tim...I can't remember which king it was or what timeframe. But a similar thing happened between the King of France and the Pope. Probably a couple hundred years before Peter the Great and I think before the Reformation.

One of the French Kings decided he didn't care if the Pope could excommunicate him, and that he could do whatever he wanted in France itself. I think he did find sympathetic clergy to run the church in France, but it probably wasn't as total as in Russia. But similar things were happening.

https://thecrosssectionrmb.blogspot.com/RMBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13603112499567064214noreply@blogger.com
